Do you ever feel lost or like something’s missing? Looking for a book that feels like it understands you? That feels like it's been written just for you? I wrote an ebook that is made for those moments, made to help you grow, see things differently, and find meaning in life’s ups and downs. Check it out, you'll never regret.

----------------------

You've already got everything you need. You've already got everything you need. How do you mean? You've already got everything you need. I already have everything I need? Yes, everything you need. You've already got a body, body. Strong and proud. Living, breathing, hearing, seeing. Singing, screaming, everything you need. You've already got a body, body. Fat and fleshy, lean and hungry. Curvy, bumpy, walking, talking. Eating, loving, everything you need. I already have everything I need? Yes, everything you need. You've already got life inside you. Learning, growing. Knowledge, dreamer, laughing, frowning. Ups and downs. Everything you need.

In a world that often tells us we’re missing something, that we need to buy, learn, or do more, it's easy to feel like we're lacking. But what if we have everything we need to get started? What if the tools we’re looking for are already within us, waiting to be used? This post is here to remind you that maybe, just maybe, you don’t need to wait. You’re not missing anything, you already have what it takes. Let's explore each of these truths that could shift your perspective and help you begin your journey right where you are.

You Don’t Need More Time, You Need Less Distractions.

There’s a belief among many of us that whatever tools or resources we require in order to succeed in our goals don’t actually exist. We buy into the idea that someone else needs to provide these resources and tools or we’re unable to succeed. This is complete rubbish. The biggest thing standing between us and success is our refusal to believe that we do indeed have everything we need. Believe it. Go make it happen. It’s easy to rack up extra hours in a given day. But once they're spent, they're gone. There's no getting them back. The truth is that we are not unhappy with the time, but with feeling like we were disengaged or unproductive. You don't need to work extra hard or focus to create spare time. You need to learn how to minimize distractions and make the time that you do spend count. Once you concentrate on your strengths and ignore how much time you allot to any one project or goal, you'll be setting yourself up for some big productivity gains. You can outsource or eliminate the stuff that gets in the way, and enjoy your work more.

You Don’t Need Motivation, You Need Self-Control.

A little while back, I asked myself the same question. "How do I stay motivated every day?" When I started putting my thoughts to paper, I realized that, in contrast to what we have been programmed to think, motivation is not necessary. No one can be 100% motivated every day. On some days, we are ready to move through mountains. On other days, we do not feel like getting up from our couch.

Maybe you’re hungover. Maybe you’re preoccupied. Maybe you didn’t get enough sleep. Maybe someone close to you is feeling sick. If motivation were a prerequisite to accomplishing things, then nothing would ever get done. Where our demons hide is in our bad habits, in our cycles of comfort, and in our patterns of rejection. We go 100% to that narrow singularity of toxic activities that we allow to be a part of us.

You Don’t Need More Resources, You Need Resourcefulness.

How often do we put our dreams on hold because we think we don’t have enough? Enough money, tools, or connections? We think success requires a perfect setup. But many of the most successful people in the world started with very little. They didn’t have massive funding or unlimited resources. They had one thing in common: they were resourceful.

Resourcefulness means finding a way with what you have. It’s about being creative, thinking outside the box, and making the best of every situation. Look at examples like Steve Jobs, who started Apple in a garage, or Oprah Winfrey, who rose from a difficult childhood to become one of the most influential media personalities in the world. They made things happen by using whatever they had, no matter how little.

Instead of waiting for ideal resources, start with what’s around you. It’s amazing what you can achieve when you stop focusing on what’s missing and begin working with what’s available. Sometimes, limitations push us to find solutions we wouldn’t have thought of otherwise. So, ask yourself, “What can I do right now with what I already have?” You might discover that you’re more capable than you thought.

You Don’t Need Luck, You Need Preparation.

Stop waiting for the right moment. You have everything you need. In other words, you have the tools and the skills to accomplish your dreams. We all prepare for something or everything. We are constantly in a state of getting ready. We prepare for interviews, for auditions, for finals, for projects, for shows, for speeches, for dates, etc. The things we want require us to have things. If we are prepared, then we have those things. If we are not prepared, then we don’t. Most of what we can’t give an excuse for is being prepared. Bad luck may be the reason why you didn’t pass your test or that you didn’t get the job, but it’s not the reason for not having a good study session or for not expecting certain topics to appear. We are always complaining that we lack things, yet we never lack the excuses for it. There’s always a reason for why we lack: “I’m not good with relationships because my parents are divorced,” “I’m not fit because I don’t have time to exercise,” “I didn’t study the right subjects because the teacher asked the wrong questions.” We are what we want to be. We choose to be something. We can be anything. We are in no need of something. It’s all about choices and priorities.

You Don’t Need to Be Busy, You Need to Be Focused.

When people talk about having too much to do, being stressed out, and needing a vacation, they're usually not focused on the right things in the right way. Everybody has too much to do. Everybody is stressed out. And we all need a vacation. But these won't solve your problems.

You're not busy. Instead, you're unfocused. You're not stressed out. Instead, you're being reactive. These are the real problems, not your workload or your never-ending to-do list or calendar. The fact is, we have too much to do because we say yes to things we should say no to. We're stressed out because we choose an overly complex solution that we could have addressed more simply. We need a vacation because we don't unplug every sixty minutes—they aren't working us like electric drills, after all. They supply the electricity, but we supply the drill bit. Provide the leadership. Let any moment be a moment that you can savor, no matter what else is going on. Treat each moment as if it's the only moment you have, because it is. This brings clarity, focus, and simplicity to whatever that moment may require. Want more time? Choose how you interact with what you're doing in the moment. Timer at your side, every sixty minutes, take a break.

You Don’t Need to Know Everything, You Just Need to Start.

It can be very frustrating to know that you have something to contribute, but not how to put it out there. Perhaps you don’t know every single detail about the topic you are addressing. Forget about all of that. You don’t need to be an expert before you start. If you hold off until you feel like you know everything, you will never fulfill your potential. Get out there and take a stand today. Others will let you know how you are doing as you go along. You will find that you are enough right now, at this very moment, to begin something that will make a positive change in the world. You will discover that your best is good enough to make an impact on others. Believe in yourself and your potential to make something great happen. All you need to do is start right now.

Final Thought

Seize the moment. Start where you are. Start with what you have. Do what you can. Take the first step. Every journey starts with the first step. Initiate action. Time and money are the two most wasted commodities on earth. Don't waste them separating yourself from your future. You actually have an OPO, a one-person organization, and there's absolutely no way that you or anybody else can suppress your OPO. Far too often we're looking for the spectacular, the big score, the award winner, the lottery winner that will alleviate our problems. Little thought, if any, is given to the achievement of goals through the achievement of many successes comprised through doing our job as we should do it. The thought process is, “Somebody else, somewhere else, has a job that is incredibly great. Or if I could only grab power that is overwhelmingly great!” Unfortunately, the problem, which will exist no matter what, lies here, now, with me, with you. This is where we have to live, where we have to work, and function. It's at this point where we have to achieve, protect, and cross to be solidly positioned to grow, to convey an influence, to ensure that our journey will reach a predictable, constructive end. Frequently, the very best tomorrow is the result of many simple, ordinary tomorrows put to the best and fullest use. Our insatiable desire for the spectacular, or the lottery winning quick fix, often serves to shield the basic action thrust that we can and must employ in order to do our best within the confines that we have to live, work, and function. Let's say you've just landed a big promotion, a raise, an anchor job, a new geography, or whatever we've been lusting after, daydreaming about achieving for years—the day has arrived, you are now the new top person on the totem pole. What will you do next? Start.
