“NOTHING IS EVER JUST A JOKE.”

I created Mystic Jokes as a narrative universe—first born from my pen and over 30 character illustrations—then extended into music. The sound emerged naturally: intimate, surreal, and emotionally fractured.

Blending ’80s darkwave and post-punk with experimental atmosphere, the music features reverberated female vocals and melodic electric guitars drenched in flanger, echo, and delay. Lyrics repeat like incantations, drifting through imagined cityscapes and fractured memories.

Mystic Jokes is a sonic world of urban ghosts, vanishing cities, and poetic dissonance. It offers echoes, not answers.

Created by Simone Morana, aka Cyla—Italian digital artist, writer, and musician. With over 800 artworks, 12 art books, 3 poetry collections, 8 design brands, and a novel in progress, he weaves visual and sonic storytelling into cohesive experiences. Mystic Jokes follows visionaries like Sunshine Lullaby, Moonlight Venus, Raflesia Nightkiss, and Astral Supernova—all facets of Cyla’s immersive creative universe.
