VERTIGO 🌪️ was originally created in 2013

by Simone Morana (Cyla) as a logo and an online T-shirt brand. After being retired for several years, the name was revived as a music project featuring characters from the 2024 novel Killer Lady 💋, part of the Cyla World 🪐 universe.

The band consists of vocalist Steven Ash, guitarist Viola Taylor (sister of Eric Taylor, vocalist of the Velvet Roses 🌹), bassist Ryan Sparks (cousin of Jordan Sparks 🌈),

Japanese DJ Keisuke Takada,

and drummer Jay Slater.

VERTIGO blends energetic pop-punk,

alternative rock and electronic elements,

inspired by the iconic American bands of the 2000s. Their sound captures the spirit of acts

such as Sum 41, Green Day, Blink-182,

Yellowcard, and Sugar Ray, combining powerful guitars, infectious melodies, and modern electronic textures. A signature element of the band’s sound is the frequent use of Keisuke Takada’s DJ scratches,

adding a dynamic turntable edge

that gives VERTIGO a distinctive identity.
