About this work
The poem Quadrille: Beirut, 1982, written by American poet Benjamin Morris, describes the movement between four interlinked individuals, following their daily routine until tragedy strikes. Particularly significant in the wake of events in Lebanon in the Autumn of 2012, Summer attempts to captures the calm before the unexpected storm... The heightened awareness only realised later in reflection of events, and the importance of the small details; the birds and the ever-present scorching sun.-------
