This sweater is knitted in the round, from the bottom up.
It divides at the armholes and is knitted flat for the front and back, with the shoulders then joined together. The neck at the front is shaped with a few additional shoulder rows, with the neckband picked up and knitted afterwards. Sleeves are picked up from the front and back edges and slowly decreased for a slouchy fit.

Clementine is an excellent beginners sweater due to its simple shape and instructions, and is quick to knit thanks to the chunky yarn and big needles!

OPTIONAL: Truly Hooked suri lace (74% baby suri alpaca, 26% silk, 300m per 50g)

Yarn requirements:
These are for a cropped sweater. For a longer body, add an extra 100-200m.
300 (350, 400, 450) (500, 580, 650) (720, 800, 900) (950, 1000, 1050) m
328 (382, 437, 492) (546, 634, 710) (787, 874, 984) (1038, 1093, 1148) yds

If you wish to use a fluffy lace, held double, you will need the same meterage again of this yarn.

Yarn Alternatives:
This sweater works great with most chunky yarns, and lends itself well to thick and thin style handspun, as it has a slightly open gauge for a looser, drapey fabric. You could use part balls of DK held double to get gauge also.
