Marguerite Ardion, King's Daughter (1663): Widow, Protestant, with a Son
Marguerite Ardion is born in La Rochelle in 1636 and baptized at the Protestant temple. Married a first time in 1659, she buries a first son in 1662 and crosses the Atlantic in 1663 with Laurent, born in February 1662. She marries Jean Rabouin at Québec on Sunday, October 28, 1663 and settles at Sainte-Famille, on the Île d'Orléans, where eight children are born. Francogène follows two lines of descendants, 3,522 marriages through Rabouin and 2,618 through her son Laurent Beaudet, 6,140 in all. This booklet contains an airy identity sheet, a narrative, a timeline, a La Rochelle family, the eight children, three census lines side by side, a letter from Intendant Talon of 1667 and what the archives do not say. Profile no. 9 of Volume 1663. PDF in English.
