Spotlight on Serpentines
SPOTLIGHT ON SERPENTINES
The serpentine is a very versatile schooling pattern, often required in Dressage tests from Prelim right up to Advanced level. This lesson is designed for Prelim/Novice level and uses variations on the serpentine shape in trot and canter (and introducing counter-canter) to help your horse to develop lateral suppleness, straightness and engagement.
Your trainer for this lesson is Kim Ratcliffe, a British Dressage trainer and List 1 Dressage Judge.
This session is 17 minutes and 31 seconds in length, and is designed to be listened to whilst you are riding your horse. You should ensure that you and your horse are warmed up before starting this lesson. Lessons are optimised for use in a 20m x 40m arena. A pdf lesson diagram is also included.
