Early Twilight Over Otter Head

As the sun sets, twilight in Budleigh is a magical time. This view is looking west over the mile-long beach, where people have bonfires, barbeques, and go fishing well into the Summer evening.

Here’s one at low tide, looking towards the infamous and much-photographed Otter Head and line of Scots Pine trees. The sun has set behind the camera, giving lovely purple and blue twilight colours of the sky overhead. The remnants of the river mirror the pathway on the right, both leading the viewer to the cliffs and treeline. Zoom in and you’ll see a gull fetching a late-night snack from the muddy river bed!
