Going Fishing

This bright image is looking West on Budleigh Salterton’s stony beach, as some fishermen prepare their boat and gear up. Taken on a cold but crisp afternoon, the sun stayed low in the sky behind a school of dappled clouds.

This shot features in my Budleigh Salterton 2025 calendar. There’s plenty of details to notice, including figures on the beach in the background and small waterfalls leaking from the cliffs. The former grand Rosemullion Hotel (now apartments) still perches proudly near the top of the South West Coast Path atop the cliffs.
