Romantic View

The view from up near the old Rosemullion hotel as you approach Budleigh Salterton beach never gets tiresome. From here you have it all, the pleasing houses lining Marine parade, the expansive sea, the mile-long beach, iconic Scots Pine treeline in the distance, and more.

This shot made the cut into my Budleigh Salterton 2025 calendar. Taken in January 2024, the fence on the right had just been put in to deter walkers venturing too close to the gradually eroding cliff. But it makes for a lovely trail to lead the eye. The couple taking in the scenery and Victorian streetlamp I think rounds off the shot as a truly romantic view.
