(Not So) Dark Lane
Dark Lane is an intriguing walk, running between Moor Lane and Little Knowle. It cuts through walls of red earth either side and trees block much of the light too, hence the name. You can view the tree roots like a cross-section underground, as they venture down the earthy walls of the lane.
Even on a bright, sunny day, light struggles to seep through along this track, presenting some interesting shadow patterns on the path ahead. I had to ramp the ISO up to 2500 for enough light in the camera for this shot, to capture the vibrance of the green lichen against the red/brown soil.
