Tudor Passage Street
While visiting Fowey, you’ll notice that in addition to wealth of fantastic riverside and estuary views, there’s so much quaint, Cornish architecture to enjoy as you walk through the historic streets. Here’s a view looking South along Passage Street.
It’s striking how steeped in history this town is and I love how every characterful cottage seems uniquely built and presented. There’s much to see at every turn, though watch out for traffic if you’re taking some snaps as there’s rarely footpaths along the narrow streets!
Here I enjoyed the Tudor style of this characterful cottage, set against the rendering and traditional Cornish stone of others. The barn-like building at the end is a boat yard, speaking to the strong fishing and boating traditions of Fowey. The splendid black Victorian streetlamps give a lovely vintage touch to the local setting.
