Fowey Moorings and Ferryside
The characterful and traditional cottages on Passage Street in Fowey back on to the river, with stunning views out to Bodinnick. There’s an inlet with moorings of small boats, which look serene against the contrasting harbour walls at low tide.
This view I’ve taken in portrait orientation, to lead the eye from the rustic riverside details in the foreground, then across the gently rippling River Fowey itself and to an iconic property in Bodinnick. Specifically, the white and blue house is called ‘Ferryside’ and is where Daphne du Maurier resided and wrote several of her popular works.
The image previews give both the overall image, then examples of zoomed-in detail.
