“Maenderyn to Tremadoc Bay” - Panoramic
This is another of the spectacular scenes from atop Snowdon, here looking South towards Porthmadog, with Tremadoc Bay in the far distance.
The eye is taken on a meandering journey of the southern ridge, from a glimpse of the Snowdon Summit Café roof on the right, down to the Allt Maenderyn ridge, part of the Cambrian Way. The gaze is then drawn back to the right, over the distant mountain range and ultimately upon the bright reflection of the sun off the Irish Sea.
I’ve amplified the layering in this image by first converting to black and white, then adding blue, teals, and pinks. I also blurred the face of a climber, just in case they didn’t want to be part of this scene, but it doesn’t take away from the overall image.
