The Sweater that Lived
By Verity Castledine (TrulyHooked)

Inspired by a boy who discovered he was a wizard, this top down sweater features images that are important to his story. His scar and spectacles, alongside a protective stag that emerges from his wand, and a small winged ball from his favourite sport.
The sweater is knitted in the round, using stranded knitting for the colourwork. Sizes range from 28’’- 62’.

Recommended yarn:
Truly Hooked standard sock (75% superwash merino, 25% nylon, 425m per 100g)
You will need two contrasting colours for your sweater.

Alternative yarns:
You'll want to pick a yarn that is comfortable against your skin. Choose something with some grip to it, to help the colourwork stand out, especially if you decide to steek this swester into a cardigan. The grippy yarn will help prevent your knitting from unravlling as it felts together. Whene selecting yarns for the colourwork, take a photo in black and white to see the contrast. You're looking for a strong cntrast so the colourowkr motifs show up against the background.

Testers used some of the following yarns (this list is not exhaustive):
Drops Nord
Cascade Heritage Solids
Stylecraft Special 4ply
Truly Hooked standard sock
Hooking Marvellous sock
Sable yarns sock
