Skill level: Intermediate +

You will need experience in following patterns and should be happy applying binding, although instructions for this are included if you need help. None of the processes are particularly difficult and everything is explained in detail. If you are familiar with my Rosie Sewing Case pattern, this one is similar in construction but I've simplified the design. It's also a slightly smaller case and I've focused more on the storage side of things rather than as a project or sewing case but you can use it however you like.

Finished size (approximately): 8'' W x 11'' H x 1'' D

You will receive, 20 pages of step-by-step instructions with helpful tips, diagrams and over 75 photos. This is a measure and cut pattern. I have only provided templates for the the closure tab. NO OTHER TEMPLATES ARE INCLUDED. Patchwork instructions are not included in the pattern but tutorials for these can be found in my reels on Instagram. I've added printable labels at the back of the pattern so you can pin all the relevant pieces together during cutting.

You will need:

- A variety of printed cotton fabric for all the different parts of the case. It's fat quarter friendly! You could also use Essex linen for the main lining or background pieces.

- Cotton wadding and/or Fusible fleece to pad the exterior, slip pockets, page background pieces, and the closure tab.

- Medium-weight fusible interfacing like Vlieseline G700 or Pellon sf101 for the exterior lining. Vleseline S320 is great to back one half of the the page backgrounds to make them a little stiffer or it's fine to use the same medium-weight interfacing as before for these.

- Heavy-weight fusible stabilizer (optional) to stiffen the spine area. I used Pellon 71F.

- Vinyl. I use 8 - 12 gauge vinyl suitable for bag making.

- Closed ended zipper. I use 12'' or longer nylon zippers for all my zip pockets and trim later if needed.

- Snap fastener for the closure tab. A magnetic fastener or sew-in popper could also be used.

Equipment and Tools:

Rotary cutter, cutting mat, quilting ruler, scissors, thread, iron, Wonder clips/binding clips, pins, disappearing fabric pen (I use a Frixion pen), basting spray, zipper foot, walking foot (optional), temporary fabric glue pen (optional), snap fastener tool (optional).
