“When Sauron Fell”
Soon after embarking upon the challenging Pyg Track up Snowdon, you are encountered by a collection of rocky debris which has fallen down the mountainside. This is akin to much of the landscape along Llanberis Pass, with fallen debris scattered throughout the valley.
The scene reminded me of something out of Lord of the Rings, as if the watchtower (Barad-dur) holding up the eye of Sauron had demolished. The scene could easily be mistaken for somewhere in Mordor! Details and textures of the stone debris are impactful in print or online, while the high contrast and bold patterns suited black and white perfectly. The occasional tuft of grass fights through the barrage of rubble.
Want quality fine art prints, or a ready-to-hang framed print, canvas, or original acrylic mountboard? Get it here: When Sauron Fell prints.
Tech Specs: Shot on Canon 6D @ 24mm, ISO 400, f/10, 1/100 sec. Enhanced in Lightroom. JPEG download only.
