“The Road is Long...”
The road is long from Llanberis to Pen-Y-Pass at the foot of Snowdon, and as the Hollies might say, “with many a winding turn”. Here’s a view down that road and valley from the Pyg Track, a rewarding route up Snowdon, because of the varied and stunning views throughout the ascent.
On the initial part of the climb and around the foot of the mountain, you are immediately rewarded with stunning views through the valley, seeing several miles towards Llanberis. You may already feel ‘on top of the world’, as you’ll observe the occasional distant car below, making the seemingly-slow journey down this long, long road.
The main focal point is on the foreground mound of grass and rocks, with a slight softening the further you look into the distance.
