Biblical Skies at Budleigh - Boat

The stones on Budleigh beach are iconic, and the various skiffs and open water shell boats peppered along the shore are simply charming. This image captures both on a mixed Winter’s day, but with an added bonus: sunshine pouring through the clouds.

This is one of a collection of ‘biblical skies at Budleigh’ I took on a mild Winter’s morning. Some of the highlights are completely overblown from shooting at the sun while maintaining detail of the foreground. However, the overall impact of the golden rays seeping through the cloud cover in all directions out over the calm sea I think is magical.
