About Me and NextWave Science
I'm Dr. Kristina Brimer, the educator behind NextWave Science. I have more than 20 years of experience teaching and leading curriculum work in international schools, and NextWave Science is where I share classroom-tested science resources for grades K–12. My resources are built to work across a range of curricula and standards frameworks, and they center on students.
My work has included serving on secondary leadership teams and helping lead school-wide initiatives. As a Lead Evaluator for Cognia, I work with schools around the world on accreditation and school improvement. I've also presented at many AMISA workshops on standards-aligned instruction, assessment design and student-centered learning.
My resources are built to make a difference in real classrooms. Curricula developed through NextWave Science are designed to strengthen student understanding and assessment performance, whether students are preparing for state testing, NWEA MAP assessments, IB programs or GCSE examinations.
