✧Historical Lore✧
I wrote INFP Writer after creating Idealist Dreams. After writing Idealist Dreams, I had a whole new appreciation for approaching things in a way that suits my strengths. This not only included how I handled my personal productivity but also my creative life--my writing life.
I wrote this book to share how I use my natural strengths and temperment to build a writing practice that fits me. And I wanted to share this information in a way where instead making people feel like they're forced to follow what I do, they could also build their own personal writing method.
I think this book is probably my favorite. There are many things from it that are still part of my writing practice, and I just appreciate its longevity.
INFP Writer is also the inspiration for Love Your Writing Life for INFP Writers, which creates space for a low stress writing practice. My motto is "Writing doesn't have to be painful!"
I also created sort-of a spin-off guide (which is bundled with the book here) called So...What's Your Story? A Guide to Creating Powerful Personal Essays as an INFP Writer to inspire anyone who wishes to create blog posts and essays from the heart, which is another passion of mine.
Most of my books have a trail of blog posts leading up their creation. My favorites surrounding this book are Thoughts on How I Work as an INFP Writer, Ten Tips on Working With Your Strengths as an INFP Writer, and How INFP Writers Can Nourish Their Writing Life in the Coming Year.
So why do I write so much about writing? Because writing and knowing how to do it well is power. Always has been. ✨
Being an INFP Writer is challenging.
Although many INFPs have a love for writing, often it's a struggle to stick with a writing project, overcome distraction, and feel brave enough to share the results at the end of it all. Plus, there is that haunting pile of unfinished writing projects.
My name is Arcadia Page, and as an INFP writer, I've had to struggle to hold on to my favorite method of self-expression through time-consuming employment, depression, and crippling perfectionism. However, by finding writing approaches that fit the way I process the world, I've been able to overcome all of these challenges and regularly publish finished work.
If you're an INFP who struggles with maintaining motivation to finish your writing projects, getting a handle on the never-ending stream of new ideas, or feeling that life keeps getting in the way of your writing dreams, this book is for you.
Here I share everything that I've learned with hopes of helping you find your process as an INFP writer.
This book will help you:
✓ Keep motivated and deal with distractions.
✓ Create a method to get writing done, regardless of your circumstances.
✓ Bravely share your work and earn income.
✓ Find other writing resources that fit the intuitive and nonlinear approach of INFPs.
I Can't Help Being an INFP Writer is an inspirational guide you can pick up at any point in your writer's journey, be it while developing ideas or tackling self-publishing. It's designed so you can easily pick and chose which tips fit you, making your writing process uniquely your own.
