Bodinnick and Fowey Boats - Panorama
Similar to my piece Blue River Fowey, I was shooting directly into the sun for this one from the Bodinnick Ferry ramp at Fowey. This required using HDR again, to get the range of detail in both the bright sky and darker Cornish buildings and treeline.
On this panoramic view, there’s even more of an impact from the leading lines of the clouds heading into the distance, and their reflections on the water. Across the River Fowey, you can glimpse the famous Ferryside house among other interesting properties in Bodinnick. I love this little cubbyhole of Fowey, with these unique Cornish cottages on Passage Street hugging the waterline and each other.
At a ratio of 2:1, this image will print easily to 30 by 15 inches if you opt for the large JPEG. But if you want to go far bigger at 40 inches (or more!), the ‘oversized’ image is the one for you. My image previews give both the overall image, then examples of zoomed-in detail.
Tech Specs: Multiple shots on Canon 5D MkIV @ 24mm, ISO 200, f7.1, 1/200 sec. Stitched together and enhanced in Lightroom. JPEG download only.
