Polruan Headland, River Fowey

On this bright Autumn day, the skies around Fowey and Polruan were dappled with cloud, with the late afternoon low sun casting dramatic shadows all around. Here’s a bright view from Fowey, showcasing the main headland of Polruan.

Shooting into the sun, this was shot in HDR to deal with the contrasting tones. The River Fowey reflects the sun in metallic golden ripples on the River Fowey. Zoomed in, you’ll notice the historic Polruan Castle on the edge of the river.
