Your Free Guide to Understanding What’s Really Going On in Your Toddler’s Head!

If you’ve ever found yourself staring at your toddler mid-meltdown thinking,“What on earth is happening right now?” — this free guide is for you.

Because here’s the truth:

  • Your toddler isn’t trying to drive you crazy.
  • Their brain is just under construction — and you’re living in the middle of the renovation zone. 🏗️

👶 There's a lot to learn, Mama!

So this cheat-sheet's gonna help you learn:

  • What each part of the brain does.
  • How it's developing.
  • What to expect.
  • How to parent through it.

✋✋✋Because isn't that what you really want to know!!???

The Toddler Brain Cheat Sheet breaks down the wild world of toddler development into clear, easy-to-digest sections so you can finally make sense of the chaos.

Here’s the breakdown:

🧩 Amygdala – The Alarm System

  • Why your toddler melts down over socks, sandwiches, and saying “no.”
  • Learn how to stay calm while their internal alarm is learning what’s actually worth panicking about.

🧠 Prefrontal Cortex – The Control Center

  • Discover why logic, empathy, and impulse control are still “under construction” — and how to parent through it without losing yours.

💞 Co-Regulation & the Nervous System

  • Find out why your calm matters more than your words (and how your energy literally shapes their emotional wiring).

🪜 Neural Pathways – The Brain’s Highways

  • See how every repeated interaction — good or bad — becomes part of your toddler’s brain structure.
  • Consistency isn’t boring, it’s brain-building.

🏃‍♀️ Brain-Body Connection

  • Understand why movement, mess, and play aren’t distractions — they’re the work of brain growth.

💡 Why You’ll Love It

This isn’t another dense parenting manual.

It’s a one-page, visually engaging “aha moment” packed cheat sheet you can print and hang on your fridge for daily reminders of what’s really happening beneath the chaos.

  • ✔️ Simple and science-backed
  • ✔️ Designed by a Montessori-trained educator & toddler expert
  • ✔️ Helps you respond calmly, not reactively
  • ✔️ A quick reference you’ll actually use (and love)
  • ✔️And it's FREE, because life is expensive enough when you're a mom

🌱 Why It Matters

Once you understand your toddler’s brain, you stop taking their behavior personally — and start parenting from clarity instead of confusion.

This guide helps you:

  • Respond instead of react 💬
  • Set boundaries with confidence 🧩
  • Support your toddler’s emotional growth 💖
  • Feel grounded in the knowledge that this is all par for the course (even when it’s not easy)

Hi! I'm Erin King

I'm Erin King, and for over 10 years, I had a home daycare.

I looked after five toddlers every day, for fifty hours every week, in my home.

To give you some perspective, that's over 25,000 hours of hands-on toddler experience—and a whole lot of potty training. So yeah, I know a bit about toddlers.

I'm also a certified Montessori teacher, so everything I did in my daycare was grounded in solid child development.

More importantly, my knowledge and methods have been lived, tested, and proven over a very long time in my little living laboratory, where I spent many years observing my toddlers and their families.

I've got over 10 years of insights and observations to help you understand your toddler so you can parent better!

Have a little look around my store, read the blog posts, and take advantage of my free resources!

So the next time you think, "Help! I have a toddler!" you'll know where to go!

Oh, and by the way, did I mention that I'm also the author of a guided journal for women and several intense self-care systems for women and older kids, too?

Because what I learned during those 10 years extended far beyond the toddlers and believe me, I've got a few tricks up my sleeve to help the whole family stay on track and thrive.

As always, use your discretion and take only what you find most helpful to build a personal parenting strategy that works for you. My goal is to help you understand your toddler better so you can make more informed parenting choices to create a thriving toddlerhood for you and your child!

I understand that parenting is an intensely personal experience, and no two people will do it exactly the same way. These resources are here to help you develop personal parenting strategies from a place of insight and understanding.

How you do that is up to you!
