For the one who's tired of trying
You're tired.
Tired of trying.
Tired of failing.
Tired of starting over.
Tired of hoping things will get better when they never seem to.
I know.
And I'm not going to tell you to “just pray more” or “just be positive” or “just try harder.”
That's not what you need right now.
What you need is permission.
Permission to rest.
Permission to not have it all figured out.
Permission to take one tiny step instead of ten big ones.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The deeds most loved by Allah are those done consistently, even if small.” (Bukhari)
Small is not a failure.
Small is still moving.
Small is still Yours.
Here's what I want you to know:
You don't have to change everything today.
You don't have to fix everything today.
You don't have to be okay today.
You just have to take one small step.
Just one.
And then another.
And then another.
That's how mountains are climbed.
That's how oceans are crossed.
That's how you keep going.
This is what Chapter 4 of “The Map Allah Gave Me” is about.
It's called “My Goal.”
It helps you find one small thing to focus on.
Not ten. Not a hundred. One.
And it helps you take one small step toward it, today.
🤲 A Prayer for the Tired:
Ya Allah,
I'm so tired.
I don't know if I can keep going.
But You say You don't burden a soul beyond what it can bear. (2:286)
So help me bear this.
Help me take one small step.
Just one.
Ameen.
