Dear Health Teacher,

I enjoyed observing your health class about drugs and alcohol.  The students were engaged and appeared to be genuinely interested with the lesson that you prepared.  I noticed a few times throughout the video that you spoke very loudly and sometimes drowned out the student’s conversations.   For example, when you asked questions of the students, you did not allow the student time to respond before asking several different questions in a row.  Instead of engaging the student in an open dialogue that would require a high level answer, he said, “Yes,” one time to all of the questions that you asked.   The learning process can be furthered by asking a critical thinking question and giving the child time to think about his answer and formulate a response before asking him another question.  In one group that was at the “spiritual” chart, you asked the students what it meant to them
