Double Occupancy (68 x 68) was designed by Karen E Overton to be taught as a workshop on a quilting cruise. The idea behind “double occupancy” was to allow cruise roommates to share packages of precuts, 10” squares and 2 ½” strips (approx. 20 of each) to make totally different quilts using the same fabrics.
The step by step instructions are written to use Deb Tucker’s Studio 180 Design Rapid Fire ® Hunter’s Star – Large. Thirteen different layout designs are included.
This pattern allows you to use only half of each precut package to make one quilt.
Please note if you desired to make two quilts from a full precut package of both strips and
squares then the background fabric and border fabrics will need to be doubled.
